Test Preparation for the Old Regents Exam
This was the last year the the "old English regents exam" was given out to students. In order to best prepare the students, i incorporated the written response questions within each unit of study. The students had multiple opportunities for success and were given immediate feedback. Students were taught strategies for the Listening section, as well as for the reading comprehension and multiple choice section of the test. Question #28 is known as the Critical Lens Essay. In order to prepare students to be best prepared for the Critical Lens, I created several packets for students to practice specific skills necessary to accomplish and excel in the interpretation and analysis within this written portion.

Tasks #26 and #27 on the Regents exam were two shorter written response questions. In order to help the students prepare for these two written response questions, I supplied them with a formula to follow for each question, as well as multiple opportunities to succeed.
